7 August 2022 - Adrian Price
Tess Talks with Adrian Price on how higher education institutions are compromised and are serving the interests and ideologies of private and corporate funders.
Adrian Price is a software engineer and member of the Hardwick Alliance for Real Ecology (HARE). He is also the copy editor and proof-reader for an important new book called The Dark Side of Academia: How Truth is Suppressed. The book’s author has chosen to remain anonymous as its contents are controversial enough to compromise her own tenure as an academic. Thus she is known to us as The Secret Professor.
In this conversation, Adrian and I spoke about the book and its challenging message: that higher education institutions are severely compromised, teach a very narrow, shallow and materialistic view of science, and serve primarily to further the interests and ideologies of private and corporate funders. This is an important discussion, in particular for anyone under the illusion that universities uphold the pursuit of knowledge, critical thought and new ideas.
